Donald Trump said that there could be new talks with Iran in the “near future” and that he would decide whether to join Israel’s attack on the country “in the next two weeks.”

The US president’s statement on Thursday seemed to indicate that he was slowing down his decision regarding the entry of the war, even with the speed of US military origins to the region amid fears of an imminent escalation.

“Based on the fact that there is a great opportunity for negotiations that may take place or do not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether I will go within the next two weeks,” the president said in a statement read by the White House press secretary Caroline Levitte on Thursday.

Levitte also confirmed that the United States has been open to its negotiations with Tehran during the days of the missile exchanges between Iran and Israel.

In response to a question about whether Trump Steve Wittouf is in contact with Iranian officials, Levit said.

The comments came from the United States seven days after the conflict, which began when Israel launched an attack on Iran in what he said was an attempt to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.

The United States helped Israel shoot down the Iranian missiles that fired its ally, and the Pentagon retracted more military assets to the region, with the escalation of speculation that Trump was preparing to declare the bombing raids to strike the Iranian nuclear facility.

On Wednesday, Trump said he was considering strikes within days. “Next week it will be very big – perhaps less than a week,” he said.

The possibility of more negotiations of the United States of Iran comes as Britain, France and Germany prepared to hold talks with the Iranian Foreign Minister on Friday in Geneva, as part of the last payment voltage to prevent the escalation of the conflict.

“It is better to deal with negotiations through conflict … the risk of escalation throughout the region is clear,” said Sir Kerr Starmer Prime Minister in the Kingdom. He added that the United Kingdom is “recognized” against Israel to self -defense, “but the principle is that we need to remove this.”

European capitals have climbed the emergency plans of the United States that enter the conflict since Trump admitted on Wednesday that he had “had” entered the war.

The assembly in Geneva with the Iranian Abbas Aragchi is a revival of the coordination of “E3”, according to which Britain, France and Germany-European signature to a 2015 nuclear agreement signed with global powers-sought to resolve the country with the West.

The aim of the meeting will be to agree on a framework for re -monitoring the Iranian nuclear program, but with international observers giving unrestricted access to facilities. Another issue on the table is whether Iran will be ready to adhere to cutting the stock of ballistic missiles.

A crisis erupted about the Iranian nuclear program after Trump withdrew from one side of the agreement in 2018. Tehran was reported by expanding his activity and was enricging uranium at levels close to the degree of weapons, although it says that its nuclear program is dedicated to civil purposes.

The Trump administration held five rounds of indirect talks with Iran before the diplomatic operation by Israel, which launched its strikes on Friday – days before the sixth round of negotiations.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who opposes diplomatic efforts, said he launched the war to prevent Tehran nuclear weapons.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that Aragchi will meet his British, French and German counterparts, the first high -level diplomatic face to face with Tehran since Israel has launched its attacks on Iran.

“We have expressed our willingness to participate in the negotiations aimed at securing from Iran for a permanent decline in its nuclear program and the ballistic missile program,” French Foreign Minister Jean -Noel Barrot told reporters on Thursday.

He said: “Today’s negotiation is still the only way to achieve a permanent decline in the Iranian nuclear and ballistic missile program,” he said.

The E3, which participated strongly in the efforts made by the Biden administration to revive the 2015 agreement, was largely marginalized by Trump, as he sought to pressure Iran in a new deal.
