On Friday, president Donald Trump signed his 200th executive order that allowed the Ministry of Defense to return its name to the “Ministry of War”.

Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said that the new name “sends the message of victory, a power message” to the world.

“It comes to winning,” the president went. “We had to win every war. We could win every war. But we really chose to be political, political or woke up.”

He added: “We won in World War I, won in World War II, and we won everything before and between them. Then we decided to go to wake up and change the name to the Ministry of Defense. Therefore, we are going to the Ministry of War.”

Trump said the name is “a more convenient name, especially in light of the place of the world now.”

“We have the most powerful army in the world. We have the greatest equipment in the world. We have the greatest men. New equipment factories, to a large extent. No one is to compete,” he said.

“I would like to ask, our Minister of War, to say a few words,” Trump said, smiling at the Defense Minister Beit Higseth, smiling.

Higseth Trump thanked his signature, saying that changing the name is returning the “spirit of the warrior” to the American army.

“After winning a war for independence in 1789, George Washington established the Ministry of War and Henry Nox was the first minister of war. This country won every big war after that … after 150 years of that, we changed the name after the Second World War from the Ministry of War to the Ministry of Defense in 1947, and as I indicated, Mr. President, we have not won great love since then, he said.

The secretary said: “This change is not only related to a rename, but rather to restore,” the secretary said. “Words are important. It is a restoration, as you made us, sir, restore the spirit of the warrior, restore victory and clarity as a final state, and restore the intention to use power.”

Higseth pledged to manage the war, “You will fight decisively, not endless conflicts. It will fight for victory, not to lose. We will go to a crime, not only to defense. We are the most deadly, not to invite the lukewarm.

It is not clear whether congress, which has the authority to establish federal executive departments, will need to intervene to issue final approval on the move. However, Trump expressed his confidence that the name will stick, saying: “We go with her, and we go with her strongly … but we will put it in front of Congress.”
