Trump slams Biden over shooting of CBP officer in NYC

president Donald Trump criticized former President Joe Biden after claiming that a customs and border protection officer (CBP) was shot at the face by an illegal immigrant with a long criminal rap card in New York City.

“Last night, in New York City, an unbelievable CBP officer was shot by an illegal foreign monster that was liberated to the country during the era of Joe Biden,” Trump wrote in a social publication in fact on Sunday. “He was arrested on the border in April 2023, but instead of his deportation, he was released.”

The suspect was identified by the 21 -year -old Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) as Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, who is 21 years old. The Ministry of National Security confirmed that Nunez was arrested by the borders of Patrol near Saint Louis, Arizona, in April 2023, but was released in the United States by the Biden administration.

The authorities said that Nunez rode on an automatic motorbike with another suspect and tried to steal a CBP officer while he sat in Riverside Park on Saturday evening.

The officer, who has not yet been identified, removed a pistol to defend himself. The police said that the officer and Nunez were shot several times. Police said that Nunez entered the area hospital after the shooting. The officer is expected to recover from his injuries.

Trump added that the officer was out of service “with the courage of his attacker, despite his wounds, which indicates a huge skill and courage.”

Adams said Nunez was detained.

“He has caused violence in our city and as soon as he was accused of crimes last night, we will be able to add an attempt to kill to his rap paper,” Adams said.

The Ministry of National Security has been held against Nunez.
