First on the fox: Representatives in the House of Representatives nominate President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after he mediated the ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

Representative Buddy Carter wrote, R-GA. To the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, declaring that Trump had a “unusual and historical role” in that he ended “the armed conflict between Israel and Iran and preventing the largest sponsorship of a state in the world to terrorism from obtaining a weapon of fuse on the planet.”

Trump announced that the “12 -day war” ended late on Monday afternoon, with a ceasefire, was supposed to enter into force overnight on Tuesday.

And it ends up slightly more than a week after Israel launched for the first time a preventive blow against Iran, on the pretext that Tehran was about to obtain a nuclear weapon.

The two countries later circulated rocket fire during the following days, and over the end of the weekend, the United States launched its own air strikes at three major nuclear facilities in Iran.

Iran responded by shooting missiles at an American air base in Qatar on Monday, but not without providing prior notice to US and Qatari officials. No injuries were reported in this attack.

“President Trump’s influence was a fundamental role in photographing a quick agreement that many believe is impossible. President Trump also took bold and decisive measures to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions and make sure that the world’s largest sponsor in the world is still unable to obtain a nuclear weapon.”

He said that the Trump leadership through the crisis “embodies the ideals that the Nobel Peace Prize seeks to recognize: seeking peace, preventing war, and progressing in international harmony. In an area with which historical hostility and political fluctuations are afflicted, such demands are courageous and clarity.”

This is not the first time that Trump has been nominated for the award, although he has not yet won.

Representative Daril Issa took advantage of R-Calif. Trump for the award earlier this year, on the pretext that his electoral victory in 2024 had a “astonishing effect” on peace in the world.

According to the Nobel Prize, 338 candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize 2025 have been nominated so far.

Carter, who is also nominating the Senate in Georgia, has presented several prominent bills this year that supports Trump, although many of them were largely symbolic.

The Georgia Republican submitted legislation to rename “Red, White and Blilland” Greenland after Trump expressed interest in taking the region. It also authored a draft law aimed at allowing Trump to sell a federal building in California called the name of former House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, to extend California.

However, for the conflict in the Middle East, it seems that the weak peace is at the risk of fading as of Tuesday morning.

Carter’s nomination of Trump comes shortly after Israel accused Iran of violating the ceasefire agreement, which Tehran denied.
