Rick Pitino: Rick Pitino’s St. John’s, Dan Hurley’s UConn and more

Before the total basketball season 2025-26, analyst John Rothstein ranked the teams, including St. John and Uconn, on social media. In the X Publishing on Sunday, Rothstein shared the 10 best teams in the countdown for the new season.
Rothstein revealed his latest classifications in Rothstein 45 and updated the list that was ranked first, followed by Houston, Rick Betino St. Jones, Florida and Michigan, which was brought up on the first five places. Dan Hurley’s Uconn came on No. 6, while Ucla, BYU, Duke and Texas Tech are completed first ten.
Among the largest talk points, Saint John and Uconn Huskies, both were expected to make a deep season.
The red storm ranked third, and is expected to be distinguished by the emergence of the novice Ian Jackson in guarding and veteran striker Price Hopkins. It will be joined by Oziyah and striker Delon Mitchell and Zoubi Igiofor in the expected start unit. The main reserves include Joson Sanon, Dylan Darling, Ruben Prey and Kelvin Odih, to give Rick Pitino Depth.
Dan Hurley ranked sixth. Silas Demary JR. is expected to attend. Solo Ball is the stability of BackCourt, while Alex Karaban and Taris Red Junior are on the front. Uconn fans hope that a five -star Braylon Mullins will star.
The striker Jaylin Stewart hopes to make ingenuity in the squad, using his 6 -foot and 7 -feet frame to become large and control the glass. Malachi Smth, Eric Reibe, Jayden Ross and Jacob Furphy add depth to a team looking to build on last season.
Rick Betino gives Saint John before the start of the 2025 season
Rick Betino is preparing for the third year in St. Jones, and after leading the red storm to the NCAA championship for the first time since 2020, the celebrity Hall coach hopes to keep momentum.
On August 5, St. John opened the media training and gave journalists and fans the first look at the team’s progress heading to the new season. Betino was frank about how much he enjoyed working with this group during the summer.
“It was a great summer with this team,” said Rick Betino on August 6.
The red storm is expected to open the season on November 3 against Quinobak Boubakat. A few days later, St. John will face the tide in Alabama Qarmazi in the Madison Square Park.
The red storm will go west to Las Vegas to compete in the opening players ’era from 24 to 27 November. They will sit against programs such as Iowa and Paylor.
Saint John returns home to Madison Square Garden to host Ole Miss and INA before traveling to face Mark Pope’s Kentuccy.
