Trump unsure about backing Hawley’s $15 federal minimum wage proposal

President Donald Trump indicated that he was not sure whether, or not, would support a recent proposal led by Senator Republican Party in Missouri Josh Holie to raise the minimum federal wages to $ 15 per hour.

“I haven’t seen it. I have to talk to Josh. He is a very good friend for me,” Trump said on Wednesday from the Oval Office after he asked a reporter if he supported this step. “This is interesting to do so. You have to think about it.”

Besides Democrat Fairmont Senator Peter Wellsh, Holie presented the highest wages of the American Lawyer law last week. If approved, the legislation will double the minimum current federal wages from $ 7.25 to $ 15.00 per hour.

Currently, at least 31 states require that most workers be paid above the minimum federal wages of $ 7.25 per hour – including the state of Holie in Missouri.

“Some people agree with it. Some people do not do it,” Trump added, while talking to the correspondents from the firm office. As you know, some people say it is really action, restaurants, clothes, and a lot of things.

“If we will be a working party, we must do something for the workers,” Senator told NBC News after the draft law last week. “And workers have not got an increase for years. So they need to increase.”

Holi’s somewhat sudden step to support the minimum federal wage follows other moves in an attempt to pay an economic populist agenda.

On Tuesday, Hawly voted alongside the progressive as Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Sanders and against the majority of Republicans when he refused to support legislation that imposes regulations on the cryptocurrency market, which critics fear that the founders will benefit at the expense of the smallest investors.

The Holie office refused to comment on this story.
