Trump added: “I did it with black and white polished marble. This was very appropriate for the time of Abraham Lincoln, and in fact, it could have been the marble that was originally there!”

The president shared multiple photos on Truth Social of the remodel, which showed off the bathroom’s marble walls and gold fixtures.

“The White House’s Renovated Lincoln Bathroom – Highly Polished Statuary Marble!” Trump said in one post.

The office and closet room used by the 16th U.S. president, Abraham Lincoln, has been known as the Lincoln Bedroom since 1945, when President Harry S. Truman ordered Lincoln-era furniture to be placed there, according to the White House Historical Association.

The room is located in the southeast corner of the second floor of the White House.

The bathroom renovation comes on the heels of Trump’s recent announcement that construction crews have begun demolishing part of the East Wing to make room for his White House ballroom, a project that has been in the works for months.

The cost of the hall is estimated at $250 million, and will be jointly funded by Trump and private donors.
