Trump won’t be happy without Ukraine ceasefire from Putin meeting

president Donald Trump said on Friday that he “will not be happy” if he did not move away from his meeting with President Vladimir Putin with a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

Trump spoke while flying on Air Force One towards Anchorage, Alaska, where he and his team met the Russian delegation at the first face -to -face meeting with Putin from the new administration.

Trump said he will not negotiate peace on behalf of Ukraine, but he prefers “placing the table” for negotiations between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodimir Zellinsky.
“Well, see, I cannot negotiate a deal with Ukraine, but I can definitely set the table to negotiate the deal,” he said. “Our next meeting will be President Zelinski and President Putin and perhaps I am.”
