Bharti Group backed Eutelsat eyes strategic lead in space communications with €1.35 billion capital raise

In an important step towards strengthening Europe’s space in space and communication, Eutelsat has announced the increase in perfect capital of 1.35 billion euros. The initiative, led by the French state and the main shareholders including Bharti Space Limited, aims to secure the company’s strategic aspirations in the MDA expanding on Earth (LEO).

The capital, which includes an increase in the seized capital and the issue of rights, will enable Eutelsat to implement its long -term vision, enhance financial flexibility, and support continuous investments in its next Leo and Constellenge capabilities. The French government will contribute, via Agency des Particals de l’état (APE), 526.4 million euros, which confirms its commitment to European sovereignty of space.

Eutelsat, who is now uniquely in a unique position as one European operator with the entire Geo-Leo network, plays a pivotal role in military and safe communications. A 10 -year -old contract is held with a 10 billion euros with the Ministry of Armed Forces in France, its role in the strategy of defensive and space communication in the country.

“Eutelsat is entering a new chapter, focusing on the publication of Leo, an innovative and major technology revolution for the satellite industry,” said Jean -Francois Valgher, CEO of Eutelsat Group.

Ensuring this optimism, Sonel Bahriti Mittal, founder and chairman of the Bharati Board of Institutions and its co -chairman of the Youutasat Group, said, “I am happy that he is under the leadership of president Macron, the French state also decided to welcome tradition Eutelsat to meet her important needs.

In the future, Eutelsat expects revenue growth to reach between 1.5 billion euros and 1.7 billion euros by the fiscal year 2028-29, and is fed by the powerful Liu momentum. The company also expects the minimum EBITDA margin by 60 % by that period, with the support of the leverage. For the fiscal year 2025-26, revenues are expected to be in line with the previous year while LEO revenue is expected to grow by 50 % on an annual basis. The total capital expenditures of the fiscal year are estimated at 2025-26 at 1.0 to 1.1 billion euros, and it is mainly directed towards the Liu expansion, including the purchase of new satellites and preparation for the publication of the iris constellation from 2027-28 onwards.
