The levels of malnutrition inside the Gaza Strip have reached the levels of famine, where aid begins to flow.
“The situation is catastrophic on the ground in Gaza.” Chaiban said. “After 22 months of war, two months of siege by Israel, people are horrific.”
Recently released data shows that a quarter of Gaza’s population, approximately 500,000 people, look like a famine.

“What is required is to build on the opportunity and open the human stop,” said Chiban. “To send this aid through all channels and all ways so that you can reach the population.”

UNICEF’s deputy returned from a visit to Gaza this week. While he was there, comic civilians saw wandering, empty markets and young children with malnutrition. I think the war limit is the only sustainable solution to address the expanded crisis.

“The most important thing is to reach a ceasefire and the release of hostages that should not be held in the Gaza Strip, so that there is relief on a more sustainable basis for people in Gaza who have gone through a terrible situation.”
