United CEO, Delta exec weigh in on Southwest changing free bag policy

On Tuesday, executive officials from the United Airlines and Delta Airlines have formed the competing Southwist Airlines lines to make a major change in the examination policy that was examined.

Southwest has announced that it will end its long -term policy for the free checked bags that start in May. The carrier said that some clients, including SouthWest Rapid Rewards A-List PRESPONS and RUSINESS SELECT RUSTENGERS, will keep the option to examine two free bags with the southwest when the new policy enters into force.

Southwest will also offer one free bag for the Appliers A and “other selected customers” and Credit One Bag for members of Rapid Rewards at that time.

“I think it is clear that there are some customers who have chosen them because of this and now these clients are ready to seize,” he said. “We will see how this is running during the next period of time as they continue to implement multiple changes on their products. On Tuesday, South West also said that “the lowest price tickets” that were purchased in or after May 28 will have a new basic fee.

The carrier previously indicated that it also has plans to start setting seats, providing distinct seating options on all flights, and leaving the opening seats and cabin from the economy category.

The CEO of SouthWest Bob Jordan said on Tuesday at the conference that the company’s efforts to provide seats for sitting and premium seats were “on the right track, both technology and amendments to the fleet.”

He said that the company “refine the date of our plan for these products until the third quarter of this year, and the process is now scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2026.”
