Trump to visit Federal Reserve amid $2.5 billion renovation controversy

President Donald Trump will visit the Federal Reserve headquarters in Washington, DC on Thursday, amid his constant conflict with Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

Trump joins a group of administration officials who take a tour at the headquarters after he underwent $ 2.5 billion renovations. The President called on Powell weeks to reduce interest rates, but the official did not budge.

Some administration officials have argued that the huge renovations were a waste of taxpayers’ dollars and could be promoted to a fire -capable crime of Powell.

Meanwhile, Treasury Secretary, Scott Payette, noted that the Powell State period would end in May 2026, which reduced the need to launch it directly.
