USS Nimitz decommissioning will leave Navy with fewer carriers until 2027

The US Navy will decrease from 11 to 10 aircraft carriers for nearly a year as soon as the USS Nimitz is off next year, as recent budget documents show that a new company will be delayed from the original delivery date.
