Venture Global signs LNG supply deals with Italian and German firms

European energy giants have reached 20 -year deals to buy LNG from an American company, which represents a great victory for the Trump administration.

Venture Global – an ARLINGTON Energy Company, will provide Virginia – two million metric tons of LNG every year to ENI, a multinational energy company based in Rome. The contract for 20 years, according to the ads on Wednesday from the two companies.

“The agreement is the first long LNI long -term supply of ENI from the United States and represents an important milestone in the Eni strategy to expand and diversify the global liquefied natural gas fingerprint and enhance the elasticity of the portfolio,” as shown in the Eni Declaration. “Part of these volumes will contribute to diversifying gas supply in Europe.”

In April, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Miloni Trump told her country that her country would increase the imports of American LNG as a way to improve trade relations, according to Reuters.

In addition, Venture Global announced last week that it had reached a separate deal to supply 750,000 tons of LNG every year to Sefe Energy in Germany. The agreement also for 20 years, according to the Venture Global advertisement.

“Venture Global is pleased to expand our strategic partnership with Germany and SEFE and played a leading role in ensuring safety of energy supplies and the ability to withstand costs not only in Germany but the rest of the European gas market,” Mike Sabel, CEO of Venture Global, said in a statement at the time.

In June, German Chancellor Fredchich Mirz met with Trump on Mirz’s first visit to the United States since he took office. After the meeting, Mirz told the correspondents that they had agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, according to Reuters.

Trump reveals commercial deals under progress, and “sacred” customs duties are scheduled to enter on August 1.

Earlier this week, Trump announced that his administration will impose a 30 % tariff on goods from European Union members starting from August 1, cited trade deficit National security concerns.

The US President also traveled to Pennsylvania on Tuesday, where he announced billions of dollars in government investments in artificial intelligence and energy.
