DOJ targets 35 sanctuary jurisdictions that ‘put American citizens at risk’

First on the fox: The Ministry of Justice has determined nearly three dozens of cities and states throughout the country on Tuesday that it said that illegal migrants have warned that it intends to take legal measures against more of these judicial states.
Prosecutor Bam Bondi said in a statement that the cities and countries, which are mostly blue, have immigration policies “hinder law enforcement and American citizens at risk according to design.”
Bondi said: “The Ministry of Justice will continue to file lawsuits against the judicial states and work closely with the Ministry of Internal Security to eliminate these harmful policies throughout the country.”

Four of the 13 states, California, New York, Colorado and Illinois, have already faced lawsuit for their immigration policies. Among the others in the list is Delaware, Nevada, Minnesota and Washington, DC
The lawsuit in Illinois is far in the court process and did not play for the benefit of the Ministry of Justice at this stage. A federal judge threw the requests of the Ministry of Justice, saying that the policies of the state of Illinois and local policies were protected by the constitution and that the lawsuit of the Ministry of Justice encroached on the sovereignty of Illinois. The Ministry of Justice can still appeal or amend its complaint.
But the Ministry of Justice, which was strongly turned through the Trump administration to focus on the immigration application, also witnessed some success.

Her threats to Louisville, Kentucky, resulted in a modification of the mayor there to be the city’s policy more cooperative with the federal government. A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice said that the purpose of the list is to encourage countries and other cities to do the same.
“This is an opportunity for these judicial states to reach the table and work with us to maintain the safety of the Americans,” said a spokesman for the Ministry of Justice.
Other cities include the radar of the Ministry of Justice Boston, New Orleans, Sayattle and Philadelphia. Four provinces were also in the list.
A common reason is that the cities and countries that have become targeted for being illegal immigrant havens that involve the policies of the detainees.

Immigration and customs benefit (ICE) are used to submit federal requests to prisons to keep migrants who can live in the country illegally so that the ice can arrest them. The judicial authorities of the haven have policies to ignore these notifications.
In the case of Louisville, for example, the mayor agreed to honor the 48 -hour period that the ice requested to keep the suspects so that they were not released before the federal authorities could arrest them.
