We went to 10 anti-Tesla protests — and a couple counter protests, too

Thousands of anti -Tesla demonstrators moved to the streets on Saturday, March 29, in the opposition of Elon Musk and his efforts with Dog to eliminate humanitarian aid, close federal agencies, and government workers. It was nearly two months of almost two months of fixed daily demonstrations aimed at hurting Tesla sales – and eventually caught himself. Today it was described as a “global working day” with protests targeting hundreds of Tesla sites in the United States, Canada and Europe.

freedom I wanted to check the temperature and know how these demonstrators were thinking at this current moment, and whether they felt their boycott had the required effect. Tesla sales have been greatly slipped since the protests began, and its shares have threw a lot of their value. But Musk does not show any signs of deterrence, as it intensifies its threats to form the government on the anti -Tesla forces.

Therefore, we moved all over the world, from London to New York to Washington, DC to Los Angeles – Brameus, New Jersey and Akron, Ohio also – to monitor the movement as it entered it in the third month and speaking with the people who chose to spend a large part of the signs of Saturday afternoon and screaming around Musk and Tysella. We have seen even many anti -protesters who went out to support Musk – and Tesla.

Tesla’s protest in London was a small matter, with 50 protesters protesters, one dinosaur, and a bombardable Elon made Which – which A greeting all floats outside the Tesla showroom in Park Royal, a neighborhood dominated by adult retailers, self -storage units and ghost kitchens. But the matter has come a long way from its humble beginnings six weeks ago, when there were only two demonstrators “who left the shopping center in Westfield by security,” according to the organizer John Gorfield.

Gorfield is California, but this protest was English on a mistake: polite, peaceful and slightly calm. There was no police, and there was no need; Even Tesla pulled her, she did not attract a lot of the crowd. Fortunately, there were drivers to pass the noise – the Honk brand was answered if you hate elon “by a group of cars, trucks and at least one city bus. Perhaps the inhabitants of London had not come out of power, but it is quite clear where the city’s sympathy lies.

On a crowded shopping street in Georgetown, the capital, the demonstrators are dancing outside the Tesla showroom on everything from “hot to go”, to “under pressure”, to the anti -viral Tiktok song. They wear a mixture of glossy hemorrhoids, boat commanders and floral shirts. The dance ceremony, titled Loose Boats, attracts a fixed stream of honor from passers -by, and many infantry stops to take pictures in joy. “Porsche = Fast, Ferrari = Faster, Tesla = Fascism” says: “Nazi cars that were sold here,” says Porsche = Fast, Ferrari = Faster, Tesla = Fascism.

“Part of how fascism works is that they want people to be afraid,” says Sarah Stevens, part of a team called Dance against Doug. Stevens flies a pink group and a leader who says it symbolizes how people are responsible for their fate, instead of Trump and Musk. “The infiltrators work to fear and want us to be afraid of them … so this is similar to full strength.”

It seems that the combination of those present extends over many ages, and one of the groups that combine old generations to participate is the third verb. “As a person who has grandchildren, in an attempt to do something so that they can grow in a safe place,” said Mark, the present who belongs to the third verb who refused to give his last name.

Cruise Download 17 in North New Jersey and you will see many car agencies. But over the past few weeks, none of them have seen many measures such as Tesla near Paramus. At the end of each week, the demonstrators of all ages kept signs on the side of the highway, encouraging drivers to sell their tranquility, empty their shares, and provide them against fascism. Today, it differs slightly.

Players are also players here-and the lines are clearly drawn.

“Last week, we were here,” says Ethan, a protester. Super Mario Bruce Luigi Cap and a “Cyberfuckked” sign hold. “Now all of these men Trump here are wandering, doing what they want.”

Ethan, who declined to give his last name, says he caused supporters of Trump and Musk supporters. They called him Slurs, dumped the water on it, and tried to seize his banners before the demonstrator of the situation calm down. One of Trump’s supporters told him that Luigi’s hat was offensive to the Italian Americans. When I ask Ethan why he was here today, he says, “Because I hate the ridiculous Illon Musk.” Then after a little thinking, he adds: “We are a type of bull. It may not be much, but I want to say at least something and I hear someone.”

On the other hand, the Trump camp is not interested in the signals. They are more grinding, gathering in small groups. (However, they have many signs that I read “Thank you Elon” and “Trump Won”.)

“We need to show that there is support for what Elon Musk and Doge are doing,” says Tabako. He also faces a problem when I distinguished the pro -Trump crowd as hostile. “This is a gathering for us,” says, “This is a gathering for us.

The Tesla Service Center is closed here on weekends. It is outside the 18th road, at an intersection serves a shopping center with home warehouse, Chick-Fil-A, a local bar chain called The Winking Lizard, and more. The turnout is sudden, as about 40-50 people (very good boys) are lined up on both sides of the streets waving and resonant ringing. There is a man with a revolution that raises the crowd with slogans, “When immigrants are attacked, what do we do?” He shouts. “Fight again!” The crowd responds.

There is a variety of people here, including many gray and white people using motorbikes and wheelchairs. A woman in a highly clear jacket said that she and a lot of elderly people here came on behalf of ACT Third Act OHIO, an active group for people over the age of 60. It is difficult to hear because people are constantly leading, and they are advancing their pods in support.

Upon arrival 20 minutes before the event, he was calm, although the organizers expected the crowd to be large, where last week was estimated at 1300. They were right. Within ten minutes, the square was full of attendance with the diversity of banners ranging from “Elon Musk” and “stopping the attack on democracy”, and “our hands from our social guarantee” in addition to many others.

Although the crowd is large, the organizers confirm their mission to the speakers; This is a non -violent peaceful protest. This is similar to what one of the organizers also told me, “Despite what the administration says, we are not local terrorists, we are very peaceful, not violent, and we offer guidance and say any harassment in the Tesla showroom. We just want to hear our voices.”

Alice Grimm said this is related to reducing the strength of the billionaire. “From Elon Musk’s point of view, any dollar does not go to him is lost and efficiency is all that fills his pocket. Thus Tesla, where most of his wealth, if what he cares about is this element, he tries to reduce the price of Tesla, which attacks Elon’s power.”

Long Beach and Yokud, California:

A woman named Nati, while she was carrying two signs at the Shahan site in Likwood. “I had to stop here when I saw everyone.”

When the owners of Tesla withdrew inward and out, about 100 people stood on the sidewalk protesting. Most of the owners of Tesla remained in their cars or went to the nearby stores, and they largely avoided the large crowd chanting, “This is what democracy seems to”, and waving the cars that raise support.

A man asked to get to know that Sam prepared a foldable table and sold the anti -arie and Trump to passers -by, although most of them in Al -Shahan had brought their homemade signs and wore shirts with the “Gulf of Mexico” and “Biden Harris”, which were removed on it.

“I was on my way to another protest to combat Elon. I had to stop here when I saw everyone.”

At Tesla Agency a few miles away, in Long Beach, about 250 people lined up on the sidewalks on both sides of a crowd of four lanes near the home warehouse and Costco is packed on the weekend. With drivers moved to the past, people have confused, chanted, pumped their grip on their car windows, and showed support.

The protests in Long Beach were peaceful, where the demonstrators remained in public property, chanting when people were raising support, but a few supporters of Trump and musk kept wandering in the crowds.

On the supercharger site, the family of the demonstrators decided to scream as “stupid”. Their little daughter, who was looking for about ten years, shouted the profanity of the demonstrators. There was a couple of SUVs to stop the street, museums on things, and one of the only supporters near nearby bearing a sign of thanks.

An anti -Tesla protester, who asked not to identify, said that she was in another protest in Long Beach in late February when a truck driver rotated his window and tried to spray the demonstrators. No one was hurt, but the woman said it was about it. She said, “You do not know how people will respond to your right to freedom of expression.”

Hundreds of demonstrators walked in front of the Tesla showroom in the meat filling area in New York City. The mood was vital and enthusiastic where the demonstrators waved signs, danced in Cyberrtruck fashion from cardboard, and gaming cars were destroyed on the sidewalk with a hammer. A moment of silence was held for a large part of the crowd to lie on the street with signs of cardboard in the form of graves to organize “death” in front of the Tesla showroom.

The protest was peaceful, but there were two separate cases, as the two demonstrators started screaming at others not to participate with two men holding microphones and asking questions. In the second case of this, the police who were surrounding the building came to prevent one of these interviews from engaging with the demonstrators. The man who was being accompanied by the crowd is still carrying a microphone, and he walked his smile back and said “Crackhead, come here” indicates a protesters to conduct an interview.

Diversity of slogans on signs of intensity. One of the banners, Elon Musk, wore by the emperor with the two poles, who read, “struck the inheritance of Kyamine, must congress !!!” Another banner was held by a group of three protesters saying “Burning” Tesla to save democracy.

Regardless of some high sounds, there was no violent quarrel. Participation in this protest was three times larger than the protest at the same site a week ago. As the protest approached its end, there were chants from “we will return” from the crowd. They were ready to return to more.
