Wegmans grows retail footprint with three new East Coast stores in 2025

The famous retail fingerprint of the American grocery series will grow this year, partly due to customer request.

Wegmans Food Markets has a site in Rockeville, Maryland next week and another launch in Noruk, Connecticut in July.

The store in Noruk, which was scheduled for the first time on July 23, will celebrate its first location in the state of Dustr, according to the company.

Once these sites are officially going, the total number of Wegmans stores that the company launched this year will bring to three, after it has already opened Wegmans in Lake Group, New York in February.

The openings add to more than 110 Wegmans stores already on the eastern coast in the states including New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Dillauer, as well as Colombia County.

Wegmans has more store openings in the pipeline.

The company told Fox Business that Charlotte, North Carolina, will get the launch of the Wagman site in late 2026.

Holly Springs, a city that is also located in North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, can expect from Wegmans to bring a store to their areas in the future, according to the “Future Store Site” page on the series.

The grocery store series for the first time announced the plans of the Pittsburgh area in mid -January. Wegmans will be “the first entry in the Pittsburgh area”, and it is expected to be about 115,000 square feet within a multi -use development, according to a press statement.

“We have received thousands of requests for Wegmans in Petsburg since the opening of the first store in Pennsylvania in more than 30 years,” said Vice President of Real Estate Planning and the store. “We are excited because we have finally found the correct location to bring Wegmans to the Pittsburgh area.”

Rochester, which is based in New York, was founded, which is competing with grocery chains and other retailers that offer groceries, by the two brothers, Walter, John and Yumman in 1916.
