Government financing

The House of Representatives and the Senate will interfere for only 14 days between Tuesday and the deadline for government financing on September 30, and no agreement has been reached in the priorities of spending in the fiscal year (fiscal year) 2026.

The Stopgap extension of the fiscal year 2025 financing levels – called the CR (CR) – is possible to avoid closure, which can have severe political consequences for Republicans while controlling both Congress and the White House.

Democrats, are not satisfied with the Republican efforts to cancel the previous allocated money through the rescue process, that they are ready to play a harsh ball.

Any funding bill will need to pass through the Senate threshold, which means that the majority leader of the Senate John Thun, Rurawi, can only lose a handful of votes. Senate minority leader Chuck Shomer, DN.Y. He calls for an operation of the two parties, but confidence through the corridor wears.

A White House official told reporters on Friday that they believed that CR is clean, which means without any changes or passengers, which will put the Democrats in a difficult situation and that one refuses to blame the closure on the left.

Republicans themselves will have a small, valuable space for error. Special elections in safe blue seats from now until September 30 are preparing to reduce the majority of the Republican Party at home from three to two.

Epstein files

It is expected to transfer an effort from the two parties to force the vote at the home level to issue the records of the Ministry of Justice (Doj) about Jeffrey Epstein this week, even with the Ministry of Justice already agreed to hand over a segment of files to the House of Representatives Control Committee.

Actor Thomas Massi, RK, ROVA Khanna, California extended as known as the discharge petition, is a mechanism to force voting on legislation against the desires of the leaders of the House of Representatives. This is if the petition gets the majority of legislators at home.

Speaker Mike Johnson condemned, R does not.

Khanna told NBC News’ Meet the Press “during the weekend that the petition would go live on September 2, and that he and Diamond have more than sufficient obligations to impose voting.

Capital Police Order

This week will also witness the end of Trump’s contract for a period of 30 days on Washington, DC, the police force, with the exception of Congress procedures to extend it.

The Federal Trump fired the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) last month as part of a wider effort to eliminate the crime in the capital. Under the law of the House of Home Base in the capital, its local police can continue for 30 days that Congress has not passed a joint decision to extend it.

However, in August, the president suggested that he could go beyond Congress on this issue if he declared a national emergency – a step for some Republicans already. In addition, Trump’s deployment of federal forces in the province has no legal date.

It is not then clear that the path to be taken, but one of the leadership aides told Fox News Digital that parliament leaders were working with the White House on a set of legislation dealing with the crime of the capital.

Trump candidates

Republicans in the Senate were unable to obtain a deal to apply dozens of low -level nominations before Washington left last month.

Currently, Trump has 145 candidates in the executive calendar, as it is expected that more through the committee will be made with the legislators in the progress of their work.

The Republicans are ready to go to the Nuclear Democrats in the Senate to obtain their candidates. This means changing the rules unilaterally in the upper room without the democratic weighing.

The Republican Party of the Senate will meet this week to discuss the proposed base changes, which can include the shortcomings of the discussion of some candidates, and to collect the candidates together in a package or overcome the vote of the stroke on some candidates completely.
