What to know about John Deere’s $20B investment in the US

The agricultural equipment giant John Derry announced this year that he invests nearly $ 20 billion over the next decade to enhance its American operations as part of its continuous commitment to American manufacturing.

“We look forward to moving forward in the legacy of our founder in creativity as we continue to build and invest in America,” Curry Reed, head of the Agriculture Department all over the world, told Fox Business.

“We were born here, and we are here to stay.”

Reed said that the company’s $ 20 billion investment focuses on developing new products, “advanced” technology and more advanced manufacturing capabilities.

Founded in 1837 in Grand Detour, Illinois, by Blacksmit John Deree, the company has made major investments in the United States in recent years to expand and modernize its factories and build new factories.

Red said that John Derry is building a $ 70 million factory in Kirnersville, North Carolina, which will be allocated to the manufacture of excavators.

The company recently completed a $ 40 million expansion in Des Moines, IOWA, Factory to Build See & Sprayers, which uses computer vision and artificial intelligence to discover and target weeds. It also invested approximately $ 150 million to renew its factory in East Molin, Illinois, to build the new Combing X9, which raises the capacity of the harvest by about 45 %, according to John Deree.

“These investments help us solve some of the biggest challenges for our customers,” Reid said. “Our customers are the backbone of our societies, and we are proud to provide solutions that make their jobs easier and more efficient.”

Nearly 80 % of American John Derry sales and 25 % of their international sales are locally manufactured. Reed said that the company is employing about 30,000 people in more than 60 American sites, and its network is employed by independent American agents.

He said that these recruitment numbers include high school students that the company helped provide to skilled deals through the vocational training program and hundreds of old American warriors who were appointed in a variety of roles in the company.
