Who is Soham Parekh, the serial moonlighter Silicon Valley startups can’t stop hiring?

Last week, social media users have shared dozens of stories about meetings with Soham Parekh, a software engineer who seems to be working simultaneously in multiple Silicon Valley – without companies’ knowledge – over the past few years.
But who is Barrick, how did he take out his career as a serial satellite weapons, and why cannot Silicon Valley not get enough of it?
Fairi origins
All the epic started when SUHIL DOSHI- CEO of Image Generation startup Playground Ai-published on Tuesday on X started: “Psa: There is a man called Soham Parekh (in India) working in 3-4 startups at the same time. He was applying to YC companies and more.
Duchi claims that, almost a year ago, Parekh was released from Playground AI after discovering that he was working in other companies. “[I] He told him to stop lying/fraud on people. “He hasn’t stopped a year yet.”
This post from Doshi received about 20 million views and prompted many other founders to share their operations with Parekh as well.
Flo Krifilo, CEO of Lindy, the startup company that helps people to automate their work with artificial intelligence, said he rented Barrick in recent weeks, but he fired it in the light of Duchi’s tweet.
Matt Parkhhors, CEO of Antimetal, an emerging company that uses Amnesty International to reduce cloud spending of institutions, confirmed that Barrick was the first engineering employment of the company in 2022. He said that Antimetal quickly left Parekh realizing that he realized that he was lighting in other companies.
Parekh seems to have also worked in Sync Labs, an emerging company that creates a simultaneous tool for Amnesty International, where he starred in a promotional video. He was in the end he left.
At some point, Parekh is submitted by a request to many Yombinator startups. Haz Hubble, co -founder of Pally Ai, a start -up company supported by Y Combinator and is building a “platform for managing artificial intelligence relationships,” says Barik also a founding founding role. AI-is the AI-Video starting video, he had an interview with Parekh for a role as well.
Techcrunch communicates with these companies to comment, but they did not respond immediately.
It turns out that Parekh did a good job in many of these interviews and receive performances, to a large extent because he is a talented software engineer.
For example, Rohan Bandy, a founding research engineer for the YC -backed YC, told Techcrunch that he met Parekh for his role and was a strong candidate. Pandi, who is no longer with the start of the start, says Parekh was one of the three best artists in an interview focusing on the algorithms given by the candidates.
Pandnesse said that the re -work team suspected something with Barrick. At that time, Parekh Rewardd told that he was in the United States – a condition for the job – but the company did not believe it. They played the IP registrar on the Parekh and put it in India.
Bandy recalled other things that Barrick said often did not add, and some of his contributions to Gabbab and her previous roles were not logical either. This seems to be a common experience when dealing with Parekh.
Adam Silverman, co -founder of the start of Ai Agent Observatory, told Techcrunch to his company also interview Parekh. Silverman said that Barrick sent him a cool manager about the opening function of the agency, and they created a meeting. Barrick was forced to reschedule this meeting five times, according to Silverman’s curiosity and emails from Barrick that Techcrunch.
Silverman says he was also admired by the artistic ability of Barik, but in the interview, he insisted on working remotely. It is very similar to Rewworwd, this was the red flag of the agency.
Roy Lee, CEO of “Fraud in everything”, tells AI, Cluely, Techcrunch that he had an interview with Parekh twice for a role. He told me that Parekh is conducting a good interview and “seems to have strong knowledge”, with a reference to the famous JavaScript Library to build user interfaces.
He tells me that Kluweeli did not end up employing Barrick. However, many other companies did clearly.
Barik’s point of view
Parekh appeared on the Technology Programming Network (TBN) on Thursday to inform the participants in the flight attendants John Kojan and Jordi Hayes, his side of the story and explained the reason for his work in many companies.
He admitted that he has been working in multiple functions at the same time since 2022. Parekh claims that he does not use artificial intelligence tools or appoint young software to help him in the work burden.
All this work made Parekh a much better programmer, but it is believed, but notice that it affects losses.
Barrick said he was notorious among his friends for not sleeping. He repeated several times throughout the interview that he works 140 hours a week, which reaches 20 hours a day, seven days a week. This appears to be impossible on the border – or at least, very unhealthy and not sustainable.
Barrick also said that he has occupied multiple functions because he was in a “financial danger”, which implicitly means that he needs all the income that he could get from different employers. He claims to be postponed to go to the graduate program that has been accepted, and instead decided to work in many startups simultaneously.
It is worth noting that Dushi participated in a copy of the biography of Barrick, which claims to have obtained a master’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
When the hosts participating in TBPN asked why Parekh did not ask for only one company to raise his salary and help in his financial struggles, Parekh said he liked to maintain boundaries between his professional and private life. (But he also chose to obtain low salaries and high property rights in all its functions, which does not fully add the story of his financial crisis. However, Parekh refused to share more on this topic.)
Barrick told the hosts that he really loved his work, and it was not only about money. He says he was a very investor in the tasks of all the companies he was working in.
He also admitted that he is not proud of what he did, and does not support him.
What now?
Some describe Parric as a fraud and false artist, but in the style of the classic silicon valley, Baric seems to be trying to turn his viral moments into a business.
Parekh has announced the latest employer, who claims to be working exclusively on: Darwin Studios, a startup that works to reshape the artificial intelligence video.
However, the Parekh is quickly deleted after announcing it, as did the founder and CEO of Startup, Sanjit Junja.
Techcrunch communicate with Parekh to request an interview about this article, however, has not yet accepted. Instead, a spokesman Techcrunch sent a statement from Darwin CEO.
Juniga said: “Siham is an incredibly talented engineer and we believe in his ability to help provide our products to the market.”
We have seen countless startups to turn viral moments, and often controversial to companies last year. One of the most famous is Cluely, which is famous for creating provocative marketing campaigns. It is angry, but it caught the attention, and it was sufficient to land on a $ 15 million seed tour of Andressen Horowitz.
Parric may decline a similar wealth in the future.
Update 8:12 pm PT: This story was initially martyred with a previous name that was shown on TBPN. Since then it has been updated to reflect its current name.
