Wisconsin judge threatens to boycott courtroom over Hannah Dugan arrest

The Wisconsin State Judge threatens not to keep the court in protest against the federal authorities arresting its colleague, Judge Hana Dogan, last week.

Judge Monica Ishham issued the announcement in an email to the judges throughout the state on Saturday. Her email, entitled “The Wanted Guidance or I refuse to keep the court”, explained that she does not intend to work with the enforcement of immigration and customs (ICE).

“If there are no guidelines for us and there is no support for us, I will refuse to contract court in branch 2 in Sawyer County. I will not put myself or my employees I may feel that I am forced to help me or in my community in Harram Way.”

“I have no intention to allow anyone to take it out of the court hall by ice and send it to the detention camp, especially without the due legal procedures, as both the categories that we have been required. Do I have to start collecting money on bail?” ISham wrote, referring to the Wisconsin State Constitution as well.

“If this costs me my job or was arrested, I am at least I know that I did the right thing,” she added.

Dogan was arrested and charged with obstructing an official procedure on Friday after evidence that she was protecting immigrants from ice agents, according to a criminal complaint. She was also accused of hiding the individual to prevent discovery and arrest.

Federal agents of Ice, FBI, CBP and Dea tried to arrest the unreliable-national-nationalist male Eduardo Florez-after he appeared in the criminal court scheduled before Dogan on April 18 to confront three charges of a misdemeanor to hit two people.

Dogan demanded that the officers extend to the judges’ office, and after his hearing ended-Flores Ruiz and his lawyer took a bound jury door, bypassing the public area where the agents were waiting to help him avoid arrest, according to the complaint.

Dogan has worked with legal assistance organizations and as CEO of Catholic charities in the past. It was elected to the 31st Branch of the Court of the Department in 2016 and ran without opposition in the 2022 elections. He was primarily supervised by cases in the misdemeanor section, according to the Milwoke Journal Sentenil.
