Wish I could be at Pebble Beach this week

Tiger Woods is recovering from back surgery and was absent from the recently concluded TGR JR Invitational and Tiger Woods Invitational. After the events ended, he published a post on the X website congratulating the players who participated.
Woods shared a tweet in which he expressed his regret over not being able to be physically present at the events. He also thanked the companies sponsoring the events, writing:
“I hope to be in Pebble Beach this week for the TGR JR Invitational and Tiger Woods Invitational. I want to thank our presenting partners, @TaylorMadeGolf and USLI. To the 60 junior golfers – continue to push yourselves on and off the course. To the TWI guests, thank you for your continued support of the event And @TGRFound.”
The TGR JR Invitational featured 60 junior golfers who participated at the Pebble Beach Resorts. The event took place from October 11-13, and featured many festivities including a welcome reception, an epic putt, and a nine-hole competition.
Of the 60 junior golfers who participated in the TGR JR Invitational, six boys and six girls won the competition across the 10-12, 13-15, 16 and 18-year-old divisions. TaylorMade was the presenting sponsor of the event, while brands such as Coca-Cola and Bel Air Country Club’s Friends of Golf served as supporting sponsors.
The Tiger Woods Invitational, on the other hand, featured three days of competitive golf on the Monterey Peninsula. The event offered a golf experience that included exclusive golf expo invitations and luxury packages.
Tiger Woods reveals he underwent back surgery to repair a collapsed disc
Just three days ago, Tiger Woods issued a statement revealing that he underwent back surgery after suffering a herniated disc in his spine. He initially experienced pain and immobility in his back, and after consulting with a medical team, he elected to treat his compromised canal by undergoing lumbar disc replacement surgery.
“I chose to replace the disc yesterday, already knowing I made a good decision for my health and my back,” Woods wrote.
The statement also revealed that surgery performed on the 82-time PGA Tour winner was deemed successful. However, no timetable for recovery has been set. As such, fans are unsure when they will next see the golf legend hit the course again.
Tiger Woods’ lumbar disc replacement marks his seventh back procedure. The 15-time major champion had his first back surgery in 2014, and subsequently had his lower back fused in 2017.
Woods also suffered another health challenge earlier in the year in March, when he announced that he tore his Achilles tendon while working out at home. He underwent minimally invasive surgery to repair the Achilles tendon to fix the problem at the Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida.
