Zelestra finalises $113m credit facility for Indiana solar project

Zilestra successfully closed a $ 113 million financing credit facility (99.46 million euros) for its solar energy plant in Megawatts (Megawatts Direct) in Indiana, United States.

Banco Santander served as a single facility, which is expected to work fully by the fourth quarter of 2025 (Q4 2025).

Funding represents an important step in the company’s American project pipeline, which includes approximately 7GW of solar and battery energy storage system (BESS).

The JASPER COUNTY SALAR factory has obtained a long -term environmental feature of purchase (EAPA) with Meta, ensuring a fixed revenue flow upon completion.

The obtained financing is categorized as “green” under Zilestra’s green financing framework, which is validated by DNV with the support of BNP Paribas.

“It is important to close this funding as we continue to provide our customers and develop our presence in the United States. Support from Banco Santander indicates confidence in our strategy and team,” said Zilestra US CFO Sybil Milo Cioffei.

“We are also pleased with the EAPA agreement with Meta, one of the six in total we have in partnership with them all over the United States. JASPER tops the way to deliver major American projects, with more than 1GW of fully contracted projects advanced towards construction over the next two years.”

Zilestra, with the support of the Swedish private stock company EQT, specializes in developing, marketing, building and operating renewable energy projects on a large scale.

It has a group of 29 GB of carbon -free projects in 13 countries, of which 5GW contracts with customers, in operations, construction, or pre -construction.

Last month, Zilestra expanded its portfolio through a transmitted and transmitted energy contract with the Indian public sector entity Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam for a 500 -megawatt hybrid project in Solapur, Maharashtra.

The SolaPur project will combine 250 MW of solar energy, 180 MW of wind power and 90 MW PES.
