Senate plan for Trump budget bill gets pushback from House Freedom Caucus chief

Exclusive: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Freedom Caucus, Andreed Harris, R-MD, said that he will oppose the Senate version of the overwhelming legislation to pay President Donald Trump’s agenda if he was voted in his room this week.
“At this stage, I will vote against it,” Harris told Fox News Digital in an interview Monday morning.
The House of Representatives and the Senate also calls for their own publications from the plan, after the latter approved a modified version of the previous legislation in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Republican in Maryland, which leads the most conservative Republican Party group, is the highest legislator from the Republican Party that comes out against legislation until now.

This comes at a time when other financial falcons are related to the Senate version of the legislation – specifically, that it imposes at least $ 4 billion in spending cuts, compared to $ 1.5 trillion to $ 2 trillion in the House of Representatives.
Harris said: “I mean, if the Senate is already able to achieve a meaningful deficit reduction, we can only pass the Senate amendments to the decision of the House of Representatives budget,” Harris said.
“But again, I am not ready to do this until I see what is to reduce the deficit, and reduce the actual deficit that the Senate puts into consideration.”
Republicans in the Congress are working on huge legislation that Trump called a “major and beautiful bill” to enhance his agenda on border security, defense, energy and taxes.

They can pass such a measure through the budget settlement process. It is traditionally used when one of the parties controls all the three branches of the government, the reconciliation reduces the Senate threshold to pass some financial measures from 60 votes to 51 votes.
As a result, it has been used to pass broad changes in politics in one or two huge legislation.
The framework of the House of Representatives was released in late February, and included some new financing for defense and border security, along with $ 4.5 trillion to expand the tax cuts law in Trump for the year 2017 and implement the latest proposals of Trump, such as the lack of taxes on oblique wages.
The framework also called for between 1.5 trillion dollars and 2 trillion dollars in spending cuts, and depends on the amount of Trump’s tax policies that it will add to the national deficit – which is essential to winning support from the deficit hawks.

He also raised debt limit, which specifically asked Trump from Republicans to deal with it by $ 4 trillion. The Senate version will raise the debt limit of $ 5 trillion.
In a letter to the Republican Parliament’s colleagues on Sunday, Parliament Speaker Mike Johnson, R. La, said.
However, Johnson insisted that the Senate’s approval of its framework simply allows the council to start working on its copy of the draft law that was passed in February – and that it does not hinder its operation in any way.
“The amendment of the Senate, as approved, does not make any changes to reconciliation instructions in the House of Representatives that we voted only weeks ago. Although the Senate chose to follow a different approach in its instructions, the amended decision does not prevent us from achieving our goals in the final reconciliation bill.”
“We will continue to be clarified in all discussions with the Senate and the White House, which – in order to secure the passage of home – the final reconciliation bill must include discounts in historical spending while protecting basic programs.”
Johnson’s office referred to the message when it was reached on Monday.
Passing the reconciliation framework, which only determines the numbers of upper spending, allows Congress to move to the next step in the actual formulation of politics to accompany those higher lines.
However, the governors, like Harris, responded that they did not see a need to vote on the Senate version of the draft law to start work in the House of Representatives.

“They only believe that we must keep moving forward on the train. But again, if we only start to formulate actual reconciliation packages, this makes the train also advance,” Harris said.
Leave the door open to support the work of the Senate, although the support is excluded for its direct offer.
Harris said: “I still think that we just have to ask the Senate to start formulating their own reconciliation bill, then if they are presenting their promise to reduce the deficit, I am fine with the decision of their budget.”
