BMW recalls over 145,000 vehicles over starter motor fire risk in US

The National Road Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that BMW remembers more than 145,000 cars in the United States due to a starting defect that could rise and raise fire.
The last summons comes just days after calling nearly 200,000 cars for a similar case.
NHTSA has warned that the engine protection near a feverish start can ignite. The new notification was published on Wednesday, Reuters said.
“After repeated attempts, the novice engine of the overloading load may rise,” NHTSA said. “The flexible novice engine can ignite nearby combustible materials in the engine cabin, which increases the risk of fire.”

“If this happens, passengers may see or smoke smoke while driving or when their car leaves,” the recovery report added.
The car safety organizer said that the notification affects some cars 2019-2025 via six models.
“BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) remember some 2020 340i, x6, 2020-2025 840i, 2020-2022 740Li, 2019-2020 x7, and X5”, said NHTSA.

BMW merchants NHTSA said it would replace the start of the engine with a different design.
A BMW spokesman told Fox Business on Thursday that the company is currently accelerating the spare parts shipment for treatment.
“BMW is currently accelerating limited groups of the necessary parts of the approved service centers, as deliveries begin at the end of this month,” said BMW spokesman. “The owners of the affected vehicles will be notified as soon as the required materials will be available and then it will be recommended to call their favorite traders to schedule a non -cost repair.”

The owner’s notification letters are expected to be sent on November 17, 2025. Car owners can contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417. Www.nhtsa.gov selecting numbers will be searched for www.nhtsa.gov starting from November 17, 2025. Drivers can also call the NHTSA hotline on the number 1-888-327-4236.
The safety organizer noted that BMW did not receive any reports, and that the company is aware of any accidents or injuries related to this case at the time of the notice.
