Judge blocks Trump order requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote

On Thursday, a federal judge in Washington, DC, prevented part of the executive order of President Donald Trump regarding the integrity of the elections, specifically the provisions related to providing documentary proof of citizenship before being allowed to register to vote.

Judge Colin Coller Cotley of the US Provincial Court of Colombia issued the order in response to the lawsuits of three separate groups of prosecutors for five different provisions on an executive order on March 25 regarding the integrity of the elections. While Kollar-Kotelly rejected requests to prevent three rulings, requests were granted to prohibit two rulings on proving citizenship requirements for voters.

The banned first ruling sought to force the Electoral Aid Committee to amend the models of the unified national voter registration to require a documentary proof of citizenship. The second sought to ask the federal agencies to provide voters ’registration to persons on public assistance to“ assess ”the individual’s nationality before doing so.

“Our constitution entrusted Congress and the states-not president-the power to organize federal elections. It is compatible with the allocation of power, and Congress currently discusses legislation that affects many of the changes that the president claims to the regime,” wrote Kola Koteli, a Clinton point. “There is no legal mandate for the authority to the executive authority that allows the president to shorten trading in the short Congress with executive order.”

Kollar-Kotelly said that it will not prevent other rulings that the groups have sought to challenge, which cover voting cards and data collection on the state of citizenship, and contacted the “premature” challenges and indicates that they will be in the best way in the state.

Earlier this month, the Republican parliament, a law that requires a citizen to vote in the federal elections. However, the procedure still passes the Senate, before the president can sign the law.

In addition to Trump’s orders that were dropped, two other federal judges from Maryland and New Hampsheer have been subjected to the president related to ending diversity, shares and inclusion programs (Dei) in public schools from kindergarten to the twelfth grade on Thursday.

The rulings followed the lawsuits filed by the National Association for Education, the American Civil Liberties Union and the separation of Maryland to the American Union of Teachers. The groups have argued that federal financing financing depends on whether the teachers are crushing their DEI programs violating the rights of the first amendment granted by the constitution.
